Finding ways to enrich the lives of our residents so they may continue to feel challenged, active and involved is one of the primary goals of our activities staff. We encourage our residents to express themselves within a variety of social activities.

Among many of our popular activities at Newark Manor are scenic day trips, lunch outings and community concerts. We sponsor a local girl’s softball team and residents can be heard cheering on Team Newark Manor at many of the exciting games. Visits from children’s groups, special holiday festivities, picnics, bingo, pet therapy and arts and crafts are but a few of our sure-to-bring-a-smile activities, all designed to enhance the emotional and spiritual well-being of our residents.

Our residents take great delight in exercising their green thumbs as part of our Garden Club. There is a sense of pride and joy in planting and harvesting delicious fruits and vegetables from their very own garden. For many, this activity elicits fond memories of their own backyard gardens that then become the subject of delightful stories shared among the residents.

Cultural and religious services are also provided for all faiths.
